GRAPHIC RECORDING

Creativity and collaboration are essential to uncovering the essence of ideas.
Swoop Media captures the real-time problems solving of tricky concepts and tough conversations.

What is live graphic recording?

  • Commonly called scribing, sketchnotes, or graphic facilitation

  • The act of listening to the core ideas of speech, distilling that information promptly and translating it into a combination of words and images

Why would I use it?

  • By seeing ideas all at once, everyone can see the big picture faster

  • We learn and retain information better when it is accompanied by visuals

  • With engaging visuals, the viewer digests the ideas in their own mind improving memory

Conferences & Talks

Presentations to groups big, small, and virtual can benefit from visual records. The recording helps attendees remember and retain topic ideas, and can delight speakers and participants alike.

Variety of Post-Production

Often the record is the goal. Having a piece of your company’s ideas and objectives can serve as a community reminder, vision board, or account of significant moments. Repurpose it as social media and marketing content.

Meetings & Planning

Working through problems and projects visually adds a layer to thinking and comprehension. Goal setting, idea generation, and facilitation-led discussion are a few graphic recording meeting types.

Reports

It is challenging to keep everyone in sync as you work through projects over time. Including graphic recordings in your reports bridges the gap by connecting visuals and words, something stock imagery fails to do.

How do we do it?

Step 1

Meet to discuss what you’d like to capture, why, and the aim of your project.

Step 2

We agree to date(s), set a payment schedule, sign and exchange the contract.

Step 2.5

If working with a facilitator, align desired goals, priorities, and outcome of the session.

Step 3

Physical board preparation. If the recording is digital, we coordinate a dry tech run.

Step 4

Live Graphic Recording day. Work is complete 30 minutes or so after the talk.

Step 5

Final piece delivered!
Digital sent promptly. Paper pieces sent for scanning.

“Graphic Recording is an incredible tool and dynamic feature of any high caliber facilitation. Laura’s talent is unmatched when it comes to capturing the vibe and input gathered in my facilitated sessions. Her ability to demonstrate the results and transform them into artwork that we refer to for inspiration and energy long-term is
a gift.”
